Do you have a large screen TV, DVD player and seating for 10-16 people in your home or office? If so, please consider being one of our community outreach Home Screening Hosts for the Childless by Choice Project documentary.
We want this film to reach the largest audience possible without doing a costly theatrical release and the home screening is becoming one of the preferred ways in which independent documentary films are enjoyed and shared.
Home Screening Hosts choose whom to invite and host a screening of the film for their guests in a fun, casual, interactive environment. Home Screening Hosts get to choose a favorite charity to donate the screening proceeds to. Proceeds are generated by donations given by the screening guests and by drawings for prizes included in the home screening kit. If schedules permit you may even be able to host a Q & A session following the screening with Laura Scott, the filmmaker and founder of the Childless by Choice Project.
Home screenings, campus, and art house theatre screenings will be scheduled in various cities in North America starting in 2011. If you would like to be a Home Screening Host for the The Childless by Choice documentary, or would like to be invited to a home, campus, or art house screening near you,

the Childless by Choice Project
I just watched the documentary and at times it was very emotional, but in a very good way! It was such a relief to watch the couples interact with each other and to hear their journey about making such an important decision. Your book played a critical role in our decision and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing the research and writing your book and now releasing your documentary.

First comes love, then comes marriage…then comes Susie with the baby carriage?
Not so for the millions of couples in North America who have chosen to remain childless; who have determined that when it comes to their family—two is enough.
Why are more and more couples opting out of parenthood?
Filmmaker Laura Scott embarks on a journey of discovery to explore the motivations and decision-making processes of those who are living or considering a “childfree” life. As she travels the U.S. and Canada to interview childfree couples, she hears stories of love, vasectomies, stigma, societal pressure, an international childfree social club, and documents the decision making of two undecided couples who are struggling to make the right choice for themselves.
This documentary is being fiscally sponsored by The Southern Documentary Fund, a non-profit organization with IRS 501 (c)(3) status.
